White Reaper - You Deserve Love + The Hives "I'm Alive" 7"
White Reaper - You Deserve Love + The Hives "I'm Alive" 7"

Vinyl LP pressing. 2019 release. Recorded with producer Jay Joyce in Nashville, Tennessee, You Deserve Love marks White Reaper's Elektra Records debut and follows their celebrated 2017 album, The World's Best American Band. The album is a collection of smart, sharply-written songs of doubt, dislocation, and elusive and often complicated love. Reflecting on the album title, vocalist/guitarist Tony Esposito explained that the name for the record came from a note on bassist Sam Wilkerson's phone. "He had written things down he thought might be good album titles, and we were all sitting around at a bar in Nashville after we had just finished recording, vexing about what we were going to call the album." Wilkerson explained, "I started reading them aloud at the bar, and everyone stopped me at You Deserve Love," adding, "I think it's cool, because it's true for everybody. I think it's what everybody needs to hear."

Lillie Mae - Other Girls
Lillie Mae - Other Girls + Joshua Hedley "Broken Man"

Lillie Mae's new Third Man Records album Other Girls features eleven new, original songs produced by Grammy-winner Dave Cobb at Nashville's famed RCA Studio A. The Nashville singer, songwriter, downtown scene slayer, and most-wanted fiddler signals a reclaimed confidence and bold evolution here, telling women's stories - including her own - that build on the strength of her 2017 Jack White-produced debut. Lillie Mae led a sequestered childhood touring in a motorhome with her musician parents, constricted by religious boundaries. In her adolescence she busked from RV parks to the Rio Grande, swept through Nashville clubs, and achieved Top 40 country status in her sibling group Jypsi, but on Other Girls, a new side of herself emerges with more to say than ever before. She embraces personal triumphs on "I Came For The Band (For Show)," breathes new perspective into "Terlingual Girl," a song she wrote as a 19-year-old in the South-Texan desert, and professes brave truths as heard in "You've Got Other Girls for That." After a vagabond past, crossing paths with hundreds of musicians, she limits the cast of Other Girls to just her brother, sister, and a few trusted collaborators.

GA-20 - Lonely Soul (Ltd. Ed. Red Vinyl)
GA-20 - Lonely Soul (Ltd. Ed. Red Vinyl)

GA-20 was formed by friends Pat Faherty and Matthew Stubbs in Boston, MA in 2018. The project was born out of their mutual love of heavy traditional Blues, R&B, and Rock & Roll of the late 50s and early 60s. Faherty and Stubbs bonded over legendary artists like Lazy Lester, J.B. Lenoir, Earl Hooker, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush and Junior Wells. Feeling a void in current music, the duo have set out to write, record and perform a modern version of this beloved art form. Live, GA-20 is a trio of 2 guitars, vocals and drums. Raw, passionate and honest performance, both on stage and in the studio, is the only goal. "Lonely Soul", the title track to their debut album embodies their sound: raw, cutting, and authentic.
