Released in 1996, Ghostface Killah's groundbreaking debut solo album, Ironman, swiftly achieved immense success. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and claimed the top spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Produced by the legendary RZA, Ironman draws inspiration from a diverse range of influences, including blaxploitation films and classic soul music. This innovative blend effectively paved the way for new territory in hip-hop. The album features unforgettable tracks like "Daytona 500" with Raekwon and Cappadonna, as well as the soulful and poignant "All I Got Is You" featuring Mary J. Blige. Arguably the best of the group's solo albums to date, Ironman showcases inventive production and rhymes, solidifying it's place as another remarkable entry in the Wu-Tang legacy.
