Bloodline is the remarkable full-length debut from Mon Rovîa, an artist whose music is as compelling as his life story. Born in Liberia during the country's civil war, later adopted by an American family, and now based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mon Rovîa describes his sound as "Afro-Appalachian"—a blend of folk, African musical traditions, Americana, and indie singer-songwriter storytelling. The album is a meditation on identity, belonging, family, and hope, told through intimate songwriting and understated arrangements.
